The Golden State Warriors could go through some major changes this offseason.

    Steve Kerr
may not return as coach, and with Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody set to miss a significant stretch of the upcoming season due to injuries, the roster could also undergo a bit of an overhaul. That’s why Draymond Green knows he may no longer be untouchable in the Bay Area.

Making an appearance on “Inside the NBA,” the four-time NBA champion acknowledged that, as much as he’d like to be a Warrior for life, he cannot control his fate.

Draymond Green knows he may not return to the Warriors

“I don’t want to,” Green admitted (h/t NBA Courtside) regarding suiting up for another team. “It’s not something I’ve imagined over the last few years of my career. Early on in your career, you kinda like, ‘When is this gonna come to an end?'”

Green has been vocal about his desire to retire with the same team that drafted him out of Michigan State. Then again, he also knows this is a business.

“For me, no, I don’t see myself in another uniform, but I am also understanding of this business and know that it takes them to want me as much as I want them in order for it to continue,” he continued.

Green has been a defensive and emotional catalyst for the Warriors throughout the course of the dynasty, and it’s hard to believe they would be better without him. Then again, the new CBA makes it tougher for teams to stack big contracts, and they might need to use his salary to acquire another star. The Warriors must make the most of Stephen Curry’s championship window while it’s still open, and that might mean making some difficult decisions.
