Supermarkets have revealed their holiday opening times for the 2026 May bank holiday – and The Standard has compiled a list of the confirmed opening times for all the major UK supermarkets, from Aldi to Waitrose.

All supermarket opening times for Early May Bank Holiday Monday:
Asda Express locations generally remain open 24 hours or until their usual late-night closing
Convenience branches usually stay open until 10pm or 11pm
Some stores in Greater London open until 10:00pm
M&S stores in travel hubs like stations, airports and garages usually maintain normal hours
Morrisons Daily stores typically stay open until 10pm or 11pm
Most Sainsbury’s Local stores will stay open from 7am – 11pm
Tesco Express stores usually operate normal hours
8am – 6pm (Some larger branches may vary)
Little Waitrose usually open until 10 or 11pm
