Happy 65th birthday to four-time Pro Bowler, 1988 NFL MVP and 1995 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner, Boomer Esiason!

Esiason was selected in the second round of the 1984 NFL Draft out of Maryland by the Cincinnati Bengals, and he started just four games as a rookie but went 3-1 in those starts. He took over as the full-time starter in Cincy, throwing for 3,443 yards and 27 touchdowns to 12 interceptions in 14 starts in 1985.

His best season came in 1988, when he threw for a career-high 3,572 yards and tied his career-best with 28 touchdowns to lead the Bengals to a 12-4 record and Most Valuable Player honors. He made his lone Super Bowl appearance that year in Super Bowl XXIII, falling 20-16 to Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and the San Francisco 49ers.

Esiason would go on to play four more seasons (one Pro Bowl) with Cincinnati before playing a few seasons with the Jets and one with the Cardinals before returning to the Bengals for his final season in 1997.

Today, he’s one of the NFL’s longest-tenured media personalities, having served as a color analyst for games and a pundit for various networks.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the quarterbacks to start in the Super Bowl can you name in 10 minutes?

    Good luck!
