Barely one year after their lavish Venice wedding, reports suggest things have changed between them and their “honeymoon phase is over.”
Both Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have been appearing at Hollywood major events and are scheduled to grace the Met Gala in May as honorary chairs after footing most of the bill.

Just before tying the knot in their luxury, star-studded Venice wedding, Jeff Bezos and Sanchez were literally everywhere, making headlines for their time at sea on the billionaire’s $500 million yacht named Koru.
However, less than a year into married life, sources close to the couple claim things are no longer the same between them and that their “honeymoon phase” has reached its expiration date.
“Everything changed the moment they got married,” a source told Rob Shuter. “The honeymoon phase is over.”
Sources Claim The Power Couple May Not Last More Than A Year
Earlier this month, the couple turned up for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party looking chic in their all-black ensembles as they walked the red carpet hand-in-hand.
However, Sanchez raised eyebrows when she appeared to “shoo” the Amazon founder to go out of the frame so that she could pose alone, which he obliged.
At the time, several social media users called out their awkward interaction, with one user writing: “Proof that money can’t buy class!” while another person made fun of what happened, noting, “Lauren: Step away, hubby. You’re hogging my camera time.”
Now, insiders say that the incident wasn’t just a one-off, and it seems to convey the nature of what’s going on between them.
“That look wasn’t nothing,” the source continued. “There’s tension there.”
According to the journalist, many people close to them have also expressed concerns about their union, while others think it’s only a matter of time before things escalate beyond what they are currently.
“People close to them are giving this marriage a year — max,” another insider shared. “Before, it was all excitement and attention. Now it’s real life — and it’s not as perfect.”
Jeff Bezos And Lauren Sanchez Are ‘Already Out Of Sync’
Bezos and Sanchez have projected a united front in many of their public appearances before now, but reports claim cracks are already appearing in the wall.
“They’re already out of sync,” the source told Shuter. “And that’s happening very fast.”
They’re scheduled to grace the upcoming Met Gala and would be honored as co-chairs after emerging as part of the major sponsors of the event.
However, the insider maintains that the question is no longer about their marriage but about where things go from here.
“It’s about what happens next,” the insider said.
The Billionaire Is Allegedly Struggling To Keep Up With His Wife
Earlier this year, Shuter claimed that his sources told him Bezos is struggling to keep up with Sanchez.
According to the journalist, the billionaire seems to be getting drained because of her energetic wife, with an example being their holiday getaway in St. Barts.
While Sanchez reportedly danced to her heart’s desire at parties, Bezos seemed visibly drained by the activities.
“Lauren’s energy is non-stop,” he claimed. “She was jumping, dancing, laughing — and Jeff was hanging on for dear life. He looked wiped.”

For this year, the couple is expected to make an appearance at the Met Gala, with the dress code, “fashion is art.”
According to the Daily Mail, Sanchez weighed in on the honor of serving as the event’s co-chair and the chance to work with Anna Wintour.
“It has been such a fun and meaningful experience, and when Anna [Wintour] called me and said, ‘Do you want to co-chair and also be the sponsors of the Met?’ I was so honored,” she said. “And then she told me the theme, fashion is art. And these designers are true artists.”
However, their feature as co-chair hasn’t come without its own controversy, with Wintour having to address it, explaining it’s more about Sanchez’s love for fashion than the money.
In a November interview with CNN, she described the former children’s book writer as a “great lover of costume and obviously of fashion,” adding that she believes she would be a “wonderful asset to the museum and the event.”
“We’re very grateful for her incredible generosity,” Wintour continued. “So we’re thrilled she’s part of the night.”
