The ‘NHL Jack Adams Award winners’ quiz

With fewer than 10 games remaining in the regular season and the Vegas Golden Knights having lost six of their last seven games, a seismic change has occurred in Sin City.

Vegas – who currently cling to the final wild card spot in the Western Conference – have fired Bruce Cassidy and hired John Tortorella to try and right the ship before and into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Cassidy was in charge for almost four seasons in Vegas, but he never returned to the heights of winning the Stanley Cup in his first season (2022-23). He and the Golden Knights won just one Stanley Cup Playoff series over the next two seasons, and with an already-underachieving squad reeling to the finish line, leadership decided an immediate change was needed to try and salvage the season.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Tortorella has 770 wins in his NHL head coaching career, winning the Jack Adams Coach of the Year Trophy twice and a Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay in 2003-04. With that being said, how many of the NHL coaches to win the Jack Adams Award since 1999-2000 can you name in five minutes?

    Good luck!
