The ‘Active NFL passing leaders’ quiz

When the Arizona Cardinals released quarterback Kyler Murray, it was unlikely that it would take him terribly long to find a new home.

That home has been revealed, as the former first-overall NFL Draft pick and the Vikings agreed to a one-year prove-it contract. Minnesota will hope to recapture some of the magic they found when they brought in Sam Darnold two years ago.

Expectations will be significantly different for Murray with Minnesota than when Darnold arrived. Darnold was originally expected to start the season as the backup to rookie J.J. McCarthy, who tore his meniscus in the preseason. Murray, meanwhile, will all but certainly be QB1 from the get-go for Minnesota as they try not to waste a year of Justin Jefferson’s prime.

Murray said the signing was a “full circle,” moment for him since he grew up a Vikings fan.

“Ever since I started playing tackle football – I was seven years old. Genuine fandom,” he told Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.

Murray went 38-48-1 as a starter in Arizona, throwing for 20,460 yards and 121 with 60 interceptions in seven years in the desert. But he led the Cardinals to just one playoff appearance in his tenure – losing 34-11 to the Rams in the 2022 Wild Card – and injuries limited him to just five games in 2025-26.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Murray is one of 28 active NFL quarterbacks with at least 15,000 passing yards in their career. How many of those QBs can you name in five minutes?

    Good luck!
