Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney is entering a new chapter in her life by completely severing ties to her ex-fiancé amid her new romance.

Nearly a year after ending her engagement to Jonathan Davino, the actress has dissolved their joint production company and launched a new entity under her sole leadership.

As her career rebounds with major box office success and multiple high-profile projects underway, Sydney Sweeney is also keeping her romance with Scooter Braun low-key.

Sweeney has quietly closed the independent production company she co-founded with her former fiancé and producing partner, Davino, nearly a year after their seven-year relationship ended.

The 27-year-old actress and entrepreneur filed paperwork in December with the State of California to dissolve Fifty-Fifty Films LLC.

Just a month later, she launched a new entity, Fifty-Fifty Films, Inc., appointing herself as CEO, CFO, and Secretary.

According to an insider who spoke with TMZ, Sweeney felt “used” by Davino and ultimately compensated him after he allegedly claimed he “made her.”

The pair were last seen together in November outside Santa Monica’s Giorgio Baldi, where Sweeney reportedly was heard pleading: “I don’t believe you. Please leave, leave me alone.”

While Davino co-produced Sweeney’s 2023 rom-com hit “Anyone But You,” his IMDb credits only list the 2024 horror film “Immaculate,” directed by Michael Mohan and starring Sweeney.

He remains active in the industry and is set to produce Richie Keen’s comedy “Unwanted,” featuring Kenan Thompson and Lamorne Morris, which begins filming this summer.

Sweeney ended her engagement to the Chicago-based producer in March 2025, months before their planned wedding, and had been living apart from him since January of that year.

She relocated to the Beverly Hills Hotel while working on Paul Feig’s adaptation of Freida McFadden’s 2022 novel “The Housemaid,” a role she both executive-produced and starred in.

Director Feig later praised her professionalism during filming, noting she was “completely present emotionally and was up for anything,” despite her personal challenges at the time.

“She really didn’t bring any issues to set, and I know she was going through some things when this was going on — I mean, now everybody knows about her engagement falling apart and breaking off and all that,” he said.

“The Housemaid” was a massive success, grossing $385 million worldwide on a $35 million budget, reviving Sweeney’s career after her previous films, such as “Christy” and “Americana,” underperformed at the box office.

She is now preparing to reprise her role as Millie Calloway in Lionsgate’s sequel, “The Housemaid’s Secret.”

Off-screen, Sweeney has been romantically linked to Scott “Scooter” Braun since they attended Amazon executive chairman Jeff Bezos’ extravagant $56 million wedding in Venice, Italy, in June.

Braun, 44, the head of Ithika Management Group, who previously managed major artists including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato, is said to be enjoying a low-key relationship with the actress.

A source recently told Us Weekly that the pair’s relationship is better than ever, describing their romance as “very casual and laid-back.”

According to the insider, Sweeney isn’t looking to “settle down” right now and remains cautious about entering another serious relationship, but she’s enjoying her time with Braun.

Earlier this year, Sweeney addressed her views on love in a January cover interview with Cosmopolitan, sharing that she’s still figuring things out while living under intense public scrutiny.

“It’s hard,” the actress noted. Despite the speculation, the Us Weekly insider maintains that she and Braun are “still going strong.”

The source adds that Sweeney has felt misunderstood during this chapter of her life and career.

However, she’s reportedly “been in a better headspace in the last month, but had a hard time with all the recent backlash.”
