Kyle Busch wins NASCAR Truck Series race at Atlanta

Kyle Busch won Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Fr8 208 at EchoPark Speedway in much less dramatic fashion than he did a year ago.

There was no photo finish for Busch on Saturday. With time dwindling down due to NASCAR trying to quickly start the O’Reilly Series race later Saturday evening, Busch got around Ben Rhodes in the closing laps and held on to score his 68th career Truck Series win and his ninth at Atlanta.

The victory is Busch’s first in any of NASCAR’s top-three series since the 2025 Atlanta Truck Series race and his third in a row at the 1.5-mile tri-oval.

“This is cool,” Busch told Fox Sports. “Huge help from behind. Carson Hocevar was a great teammate today. There at the end, he was my wingman.”

Busch will look to break a 94-race winless streak in the NASCAR Cup Series in Sunday’s Autotrader 400.

    Notable results

Carson Hocevar, Gio Ruggiero, Ben Rhodes and Stage 1 winner Corey Heim rounded out the top-five, with Chandler Smith, polesitter Jake Garcia, John Hunter Nemechek, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Justin Haley completing the top-10.

“I had no shot to win the race,” Hocevar said. “If I wasn’t going to have a shot, I wanted to make sure the company had a shot.”

Busch and Hocevar both drove Spire Motorsports trucks on Saturday, and Hocevar recently signed a long-term Cup Series contract extension to drive for Spire into the 2030s.

Rhodes recovered from running out of fuel late in Stage 2 to earn a fourth-place finish.

Other notable finishers include Adam Andretti in 12th, Brenden Queen in 16th, Stewart Friesen in 20th, Kaden Honeycutt in 21st and Ty Majeski in 28th.
