Bravo star West Wilson is getting candid about his dating life just as season 10 of “Summer House” starts to hit its stride. During a new interview, the Missouri-born sports journalist-turned-beloved reality TV star admitted that finding the right one can be challenging. At the same time, Wilson explained when he believes the pieces begin to fall into place for people who are searching.

West Wilson Gets Real About Dating, Says ‘Being Content’ With Yourself Is The Key To Companionship

During a chat with Elite Daily, Wilson—who first arrived in the Hamptons during season 8—noted that while New York has its perks, hunting for a soulmate in the city isn’t a top priority right now.

“I’m not the spokesperson for dating by any means, but I think being content on your own is really important,” he said. “Once you have that mastered, a relationship is a plus.”

For Wilson, “needing” a relationship feels like “filling a void”—something the 31-year-old is hoping to avoid. “… needing to be content to be in a relationship isn’t the healthiest way to prioritize things in your life,” he said. “If you’re a happy single person, then once that relationship happens, it’s just an extra bonus on a cup that’s already full.”

West Wilson Explains Why This Move By Women Is Such A ‘Turn-On’ For Him

Summer House star West Wilson is teaming up with Captain Morgan to bring The Captain’s Challenge to tailgates across the country and gave fans a first look at the brand’s upcoming collab with Pirate Worldwide.

Although it’s anyone’s guess if Wilson has a serious partner right now, the reality star fessed up to making “a zillion” mistakes on the dating scene. He also said that he’s “actively learning” as life goes on.

One thing he knows for sure, though, is what behavior from a potential partner excites him.

“This is crazy, but finish your DoorDash order,” he said. “I’ll always pay, but if we’re ordering $90 worth of Chinese, you’ve got to go to work with me. I find it to be a turn-on when girls are ready to f-cking grub. It’s awesome.”

Wilson added, “And that’s intimate — it’s not like a nice restaurant where everyone has to have manners. You’re eating off a coffee table on the side of the couch, with no rules.”

Even though he may not be in an exclusive relationship, Wilson shared that his past experiences have shaped how he treats the women he dates.

Specifically, Wilson said he’s been “converted to giving flowers” lately. He explained that he used to be against giving flowers to romantic partners because they always die. “But anytime you watch someone get flowers or get a text from them, it means the world,” he said.

Overall, Wilson said people should do what feels right to them because “I do think people overthink it.”

“But even if it doesn’t end up in what you want, you’ll never regret showing someone you care about them. Quit worrying about what things could mean or if you’re overcomplicating things. If you’re thinking about someone, show them a little love, and send your mom something while you’re at it, too,” he added.

Wilson Teases ‘Wild’ Season Of ‘Summer House’

Season 10 of “Summer House” has already begun airing on Bravo, and based on the trailer, it appears to be another explosive season of dramatic feuds and epic meltdowns.

Joining Wilson in the Hamptons are returners Amanda Batula, Kyle Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, Ciara Miller, Carl Radke, and Jesse Solomon. The veterans are joined by newcomers Mia Calabrese, KJ Dillard, Dara Levitan, Levi Sebree, Bailey Taylor, and Ben Waddell.

While Wilson had to keep most details under wraps, he promised that viewers are in for a “really fun and kind of wild season.”

“There are also a lot of new people, so I encourage people who watch the show to welcome them with open arms. They’re all fantastic and lovely, and they have my stamp of approval. I hope other people like them just as much as I did,” he said.

What Else Is Wilson Working On?

Aside from his stint on “Summer House,” Wilson is keeping busy with other projects, including his collaboration with Captain Morgan.

In an exclusive interview with The Blast, Wilson broke down his new merch line, highlighting the heavyweight graphic tee and a stylish baseball cap.

The line is meant to be worn with “confidence, effortless swagger, and just enough edge to turn any game into a story worth retelling.”

About his work with them, Wilson said, “I’ve been lucky enough to work with both Captain Morgan and Pirate Worldwide separately, so seeing them come together and drop such incredible merch is insane – I had to be a part of it. Both brands understand that style isn’t about trying too hard – it’s about feeling good with your people and making memories along the way.”

“This collection hits that perfectly. It’s got that vintage warmth and a little bit of edge, like something you picked up on a great weekend and never stopped wearing. The hat and tee have worked their way into my regular rotation,” he finished.
