According to PEOPLE, a 2022 interview conducted with Nicola and her stylist for Vogue revealed that the then bride-to-be had a custom Valentino Haute Couture wedding gown ready for her to walk down the aisle that took a year to come to fruition.

These details contradict Brooklyn’s claims that Victoria was designated to design his wife’s dress but backed out at the last minute and left her scrambling to find a replacement.

Nicola’s stylist reportedly told the outlet at the time that the extensive design process included selecting sketches and fabrics for “the ultimate couture experience.”

There were also multiple fittings in the U.S. and two trips to Rome as the dress details were being finalized. “Seeing all the runway dresses in real life was so magic,” Nicola told the fashion magazine at the time.

Before her Palm Beach nuptials to the oldest Beckham, Nicola also tried on a mock-up of her wedding dress before any final design changes were made.

“We didn’t have to overly detail the dress to accomplish the magnitude of it, so we ended up eliminating the embroidery,” Fremar, her stylist, previously shared.

Although Victoria was not the only family member that Brooklyn slammed, she arguably received the bulk of his shocking allegations.

Rumors have swirled for years that Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding was rooted in drama, the bulk of which started before the ceremony began due to claims that the Spice Girls member backed out of designing the wedding dress amid a feud with her daughter-in-law.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Brooklyn brought the rumors front and center, claiming that drama regarding the dress was true.

“My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress,” Brooklyn wrote on Monday, Jan. 19.

He also shared allegations that Victoria “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola and opted to dance with her son instead.

“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song,” Brooklyn continued.

“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,” he wrote.

Brooklyn further alleged that Victoria “danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone” and that he “never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

In his posts on Instagram, Brooklyn made it very clear that reconciling with his family is not something he is interested in, as he alleged that attempts to work things out behind-the-scenes have failed.

“I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private,” his posts began. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”

Brooklyn then added, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

While appearing on CNBC’s Squawk Box on Tuesday, Jan. 20, David Beckham spoke about social media dangers and what he tells his children about their social media usage.

“I have always spoken about social media and the power of social media. For the good and for the bad,” he said during the interview. “The bad we’ve talked about with what kids can access these days, it can be dangerous. But what I have found personally, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons.”

Beckham then discussed his children, noting the “mistakes” they make online.

“I’ve tried to do the same with my children, to educate them,” the soccer legend said. “They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids. You sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well.”

As her husband has indirectly addressed the ongoing family drama, Victoria has yet to publicly offer a statement surrounding the allegations against her from Brooklyn.

In the past, the Beckhams have chosen to either ignore or release an official statement regarding rumors of family tension. Fans will have to wait and see which approach will be taken given the extreme nature of Brooklyn’s claims.
