When NFL star Travis Kelce looks back on his career, he’ll have a lot to be proud of, including All-Star appearances and (so far) three Super Bowl wins. But one thing he’d be more than happy to get rid of is his reality TV dating show, “Catching Kelce.” During a new interview, the superstar tight end said that he’d rather get a painful cosmetic procedure than ever rewatch the 2016 special.

While Travis appeared enthusiastic on camera during his dating series, it sounds like the Kansas City Chiefs star has more regrets than it seemed.

Speaking with his brother, Jason Kelce, on their shared podcast, “New Heights,” Travis responded to a fan who asked whether he’d prefer a painful Brazilian wax or rewatching “Catching Kelce.”

“I’d rather get Brazilian waxed. Are you kidding me?” he said, to which Jason replied, “Yeah, just rip it off. Easy decision.”

Continuing, Travis joked, “But yeah, I’d rather just get my gooch waxed.” However, it’s not a surprising statement from the NFL star, as he’s previously admitted to not being too fond of his time on the series.

In fact, the NFL standout called his decision to film “the worst thing I ever did” during an episode of the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast. According to Travis, filming the show did nothing for him other than showcase him dating 50 different women.

“It didn’t set me up for anything. I didn’t realize what reality TV really was,” he said. “I don’t even think anybody watched it.”

This isn’t the first time Travis has spoken publicly about filming the seven-episode series in 2016. During a 2023 appearance on “The Pivot” podcast, Travis implied that he signed on to participate in the series after facing financial challenges during his first few years in the league.

“I was so bad financially my first couple years,” he confessed. “I literally went through my first couple checks like it was nothing. My season checks, all that. I was having so much fun, buying whatever the h-ll I wanted to do, going wherever the h-ll I wanted to… So I heard about the situation where I can make six figures in two weeks? I was like … ‘This is actually starting to sound a little better.'”

Luckily for Travis, he doesn’t have to rewatch old episodes of “Catching Kelce,” as he’s added new credits, such as “Happy Gilmore 2,” “Moonbase 8,” and “Grotesquerie” to his resume. In 2024, he even hosted the Amazon Prime original “Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?”

So, could he be planning on adding more to his plate in 2026? It’s possible, as rumors have swirled that the 36-year-old is preparing to hang up his cleats for good after the Chiefs failed to make the playoffs for the first time in 10 consecutive years.

While nobody knows the answer, his brother, Jason, said during a “Monday Night Football” broadcast that he’s waiting for an answer like the rest of the world.

“I’m curious too,” he said. “In my opinion, to nail that decision, you’ve got to step away from the game for a little bit.”

“Play these last three games, enjoy them with your teammates, enjoy that with your coaches,” he continued. “The team’s going to be different whether you come back or not next year. So, enjoy these last three games and then let it sink in. It’ll come to you with time.”

One Thing Travis Has To Look Forward To Is His Wedding To Pop Star Taylor Swift

In addition to his massive career decision, Travis is also gearing up for his lavish wedding to superstar Taylor Swift. The pair got engaged in August 2025, and since then, fans have been eager for any insider info they can get. One thing that’s for certain, though, is that Flavor Flav, also known as “King Swiftie,” won’t be in attendance.

“No, I didn’t get an invite to the wedding,” he said, according to The Blast. But despite the disappointing news, Flav still sent well-wishes to the soon-to-be married couple.

“But they know they got my blessings and if she invites me, you dig? All right. I’m going. King Swiftie going to be at the wedding,” he added.
