The mother of five explained that the concept of beauty occurs in stages, and for now, her advice for people within her age bracket is to understand that less is always more.

“As you are going along in your journey, I don’t think that you should overdo it with surgery, filler, or Botox. You don’t need to do too much. Take it easy,” she added.

The fashion designer continued that her decision not to get fillers gets constantly reinforced whenever she travels overseas and sees that not all good-looking women use fillers. She emphasized that being beautiful exists beyond these beauty trends that promise to help one stay youthful.

“When you look up, and you look around, all the women don’t look alike. They don’t all have the same filler in their lips. They don’t all have the same filler in their cheeks,” the mogul emphasized.

Despite this, the star confirmed to PEOPLE that she does not discriminate against people who have gotten these procedures done, as some of her friends and family are part of that demographic.

Kimora added that it is the same advice she has given to people across all age brackets and levels of fame in Hollywood to slow down when it comes to putting stuff in their bodies. She noted that even when these implants are extracted, there are still bits in the system, which is why it should never be overdone.

However, the mogul has a strict multi-step skincare routine she follows to help keep her skin in great shape. Kimora revealed that she washes, tones, and applies her serums and eye cream.

She also explained her relationship with makeup and how she discovered that if she piles on too many layers and steps out in the wrong light, everything gets very powdery and cakey.

On days when she does not step out with all those products on her face or does little, Kimora noted that she often discovers she looks better. “Again, less is more. You don’t need to always cake it on, and you have to be accepting of where you are at on your journey and try to improve on what you can,” she added.

Kimora Lee Simmons Spoke On The Importance Of Self-Confidence

The businesswoman was present at the 25th Anniversary gala of the Smile Train, where she functions as an ambassador who advocates for donations and medical support for patients with clefts.

As reported by Essence, while receiving the award for the Smile Train Goodwill Ambassador, she raved that the surgeries helped patients get their lives and smile back, which is a testament that outer beauty mattered too.

She then went deeper into the need for women to explore the potential hidden in exhibiting self-confidence and resilience. Kimora also stressed that being independent is non-negotiable for any woman, as it is not exactly smart to rely on a man for everything.

She added that people with clefts can find the experience daunting due to the stigma and bullying. This is when it is important to tap into that inner strength and feel beautiful in the face of being looked down on and made fun of.

The 50-year-old raved earlier in the month that she got lots of advice from people to consider a return to television due to the chaotic nature of her life. During her break from TV, Kimora’s daughter, Aoki Lee Simmons, was in a relationship with a restaurateur 44 years her senior.

While the details of the relationship may not make a cut on the main storyline, the former model affirmed that the girls were excited to be back in front of the cameras.

On the relationship, Kimora admitted on a podcast that she was not happy about it, but letting her daughter make mistakes was part of the learning process.

“You can’t give the ‘I told you so,’ right now. You can’t give the ‘What the h-ll are you doing’ right now. You can’t give those things right now,” the reality star added. She claimed that the relationship was a lot to deal with, especially because she had gone through a similar situation in the past.

Kimora was in an 18-year gap relationship with her ex, Russell Simmons. The duo began dating while Kimora turned 18 and Russell was 36.

What will Kimora Lee Simmons reveal next?
